Hwa Mao Optical (Xiamen) Co., Ltd., founded in October 1996, is specialized in the manufacture of various kinds of spectacles. The early management and technical personnel were from Taiwan’s Hwa Meei Optical Co., Ltd which is the mother company founded by Mr. Shen Hua Chen in 1978. Hwa Meei Optical Co., Ltd is now the biggest manufacturer of sunglasses and safety sunglasses in Taiwan.

The company’s registered capital was US$9.8 million, with about 1200 employees, with a land area of 14000 square meters, construction area (production and office buildings) of 26000 square meters. It produces various kinds of spectacles made from plastic injection, acetate, metal, aluminum and mixed materials.
